About the role
Advanced Case Managers will manage a case load of offenders on court orders. This involves conducting risk assessments, preparing case plans, providing interventions, proactively challenging offending behaviours, addressing the underlying factors in offending whilst directing and monitoring compliance with court order obligations. This role must also support offenders to successfully complete their court orders, while balancing risks to community safety.
Advanced Case Managers are also responsible for enhancing the court practice streams capacity to provide a high standard of practice, fostering good working relationships and providing guidance, mentoring and support to team members.
About you
This role will necessitate that Advanced Case Managers demonstrate exceptional offender engagement and case management skills, including sound interviewing skills and establishment of goals and objectives within the supervision process. In addition, it is expected that Advanced Case Managers possess strong written skills demonstrated through the ability to prepare high quality reports for internal and external correspondence, in particular for the judiciary.
This role will also contribute to a strengthened and integrated through-care approach for offenders transitioning from prison onto court orders, through close partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
**Qualifications**:
A relevant qualification in social work, psychology or a related human services discipline (preferred) or criminal justice, criminology (desirable) with work experience in related field (preferred).

How to apply
**IMPORTANT INFORMATION**:

This includes evidence of three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine required by the department (from time to time).
**Acceptable evidence includes**:
1. COVID-19 digital certificate or ATAGI exemption certificate (available via your myGov account)
2. Your immunisation history statement (available via your myGov account)
Other documentation outside the above will not be accepted as evidence of having received your COVID-19 vaccine doses.
