**How will I help?**
As an Executive Manager in the Financial Crime Quality Assurance and Enablement team (QAE), you will be responsible for leading a team performing Quality Assurance on operational teams who execute and perform key financial crime processes and investigations, for example, Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions, PEP alerts and CDD. You will also be responsible for the design and effectiveness of the QA program, ensuring team skillsets are aligned with QA activity coverage, delivery of high-quality reviews, and the identification of any individual and/or thematic quality issues. Reporting into the Head Of, you will provide key insights on assurance review outcomes, thematic/emerging trends, and issues to key stakeholders.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high standard QA over a range of alerts/cases
- Ensuring QA framework, process design, sampling methodology, assurance artefacts, guidance, and outcomes are effective and efficient
- Ownership and optimisation of QA processes, guidance, SOPs, and frameworks targeting effectiveness, efficiency, and simplification
- Control Ownership, including design and operational effectiveness assessment as well as control uplift
- Creating a strong, effective and enduring financial crime risk culture that embodies our ethics and integrity within the team
- Promotion of a continuous improvement environment with activities aligned with prevailing best practices/regulatory expectations
- Ensuring QA analysts are operating to a high standard through ongoing evaluation, coaching, identification of learning & development needs, and performance management
- Ensuring requisite skills are maintained in the team to deliver high standard QA outcomes, including consideration of specialisms within the team
- Ensuring learning and development opportunities are fit for purpose and align with required skillset for QA
- Continued support of team capability and capacity through effective and efficient QA processes and tools
- Delivering constructive feedback of assurance findings with concise and clear rationale of reasons for findings
- Maintaining a positive and constructive relationship with key stakeholders promoting an environment of collaboration, continual improvement and uplift
- Being a key liaison contact with second line of defence teams to ensure QA analysts are kept apprised of emerging trends/issues

**What do I need?**
To be successful in this role, you must have operational Financial Crime experience, ideally in Transaction Monitoring Investigations and SMR reporting within the Banking industry. You must also have demonstrable experience in banking operations QA including methodology design, effectiveness, and evaluation. Another major aspect of this role is team leadership where you will need proficiency in leading highly motivated and successful teams.

- Practical knowledge of QA methodologies and market best practice
- Knowledge in AUSTRAC reporting requirements and SMR best practice
