Warrigal are an award-winning, innovative, for purpose community-owned organisation and operate a variety of retirement living and aged care services in the Illawarra, Southern Highlands, Queanbeyan, and Canberra regions. For more than fifty years, Warrigal’s purpose has been to support older people to have great lives which they do by creating communities and offering services so that older people can be independent, respected, happy and connected.

The Chief Executive Officer will lead Warrigal in the achievement of its brand new Towards2030 plan whilst building on the proud history and deep values of the organisation.

Key attributes and experience the Chief Executive Office will need to able to demonstrate are:

- An energetic, commercially astute, visionary leader with a successful history at the executive level in a community focused organisation.
- The drive to facilitate the role of Warrigal as a leading organisation in the community with a continual focus on the quality of care and accommodation provided to older people.
- A passionate communicator with an inclusive leadership style that can inspire staff and volunteers as they promote the future vision, and deliver incredible value.
- A values-based leader that can build on the positive culture and deepen the trust with employees, customers, and the community.
- The confidence to clearly articulate and execute Warrigal’s new strategy and long-term objectives with all stakeholders.
- An enthusiasm for making a difference and a desire to play a key role in building on the legacy of Warrigal as services continue to be expanded and developed.
- A fantastic relationship builder and networker that keeps Warrigal well appreciated and deeply connected to the rest of the regional economy and human service system.
- An understanding of the post Royal Commission opportunities for ageing and aged care services.
- Proven senior executive competencies in strategic planning, service expansion, financial management, people management, and quality improvement.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications.
