Antisense Therapeutics is an Australian publicly-listed biotechnology company, developing and commercializing antisense pharmaceuticals for large unmet markets in rare diseases.

**The Opportunity**

The Chief Executive Officer will inherit a mature business with an experienced team and an advanced pipeline that is well positioned for significant growth as they execute their strategy.

The role of the Chief Executive Officer will include:

- Lead and drive the strategic direction and vision of the Company.
- Working closely with the executive leadership team in ensuring high quality, compliant and innovative delivery that meets all quality, operational and financial targets.
- Formulate and implement the strategic objectives, including maintaining and enhancing reputation and credibility of the organisation and securing new investors
- Relationship building/networking with external stakeholders, investors, and pharmaceutical partners on both a local and international basis.
- Overseeing the performance of Antisense against agreed priorities and plans, providing timely feedback to the Board on performance against agreed key result areas.

**The Person**

We are seeking a creative and strategic leader that will be able to demonstrate the following:

- History of success at a senior executive level within the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical sectors with specific scientific, clinical, and commercial experience that will enable the Chief Executive to support the domain expertise of the company’s resources.
- Prior experience with an ASX-listed life sciences organisation would be well regarded.
- Capital management/M&A experience, either via private or public fund raising, corporate partnership funding, or M&A transactions.
- Previous experience to in engaging a diverse range of stakeholders and investors.
- The confidence to clearly articulate Antisense’ s strategy and long-term objectives with all stakeholders.
- A fantastic relationship builder and networker with strong connections across the biotechnology ecosystem.
- Strong commercial acumen with sound financial management skills and a commitment to accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to network and influence external stakeholders and investors.
