**Your New Role**

As an **Infection Prevention and Control Officer **you will provide care and support that enhances our resident's wellbeing, enabling them to live with dignity and empowerment.

You will enjoy working within our **Better Together® **social model of ageing well, which offers a continuum of care and support services for our Residents, within a range of accommodation options in one location.

What does your new role look like?
- Contribute to the development, review and update of IPC policies and procedures to ensure infection control.
- Collect, analyse and evaluate IPC data for surveillance of infections and then identify/develop and implement control measures and quality improvement activities to improve and mitigate risk.
- Proactively attend and contribute to IPC quality improvement programs (e.g. Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and initiatives).
- Keep informed of new developments in IPC by attending educational conferences, seminars and workshops.
- Encourage, motivate and support site teams to deliver effective, efficient and caring IPC practices that meet individual care plan needs and minimise the risk of infection to consumers, staff and visitors.
- Conduct regular internal IPC audits to ensure the Aged Care Quality Standards are being met (including hand hygiene audits, aseptic techniques and auditing of data collected for the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program).

- You have a strong want to listen and understand our client’s needs and requirements
- Availability in working Part Time - 3 days per week
- You hold Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor of Nursing
- Registration with AHPRA
- Previous IPCO experience is highly regarded
- A driver’s licence and access to a reliable car
- Fully vaccinated for COVID 19, including the Booster and Influenza
