**The Role**

The purpose of this role is to generate and execute a wide variety of content across NITV Digital’s platforms.

Reporting to the Head of Digital within our NITV team this role will see you:

- Research, pitch create and produce multimedia content (including news articles, features, write-ups, social media posts, multimedia features, audio and video items, previews, conversation generators and other content as required) in line with deadlines and SBS Purpose & Values, SBS Codes of Practice and NITV Editorial and Cultural Guidelines, taking responsibility for editorial standards and decisions
- Write and edit copy with speed, accuracy and in line with the tone of voice of NITV
- Assist in curating the NITV website and running NITV social media accounts as required, including monitoring, moderating and editing user-generated content in line with NITV standards
- Engage in clear and open communication with members of the NITV team, including working with colleagues in an atmosphere of respect and following instructions or giving advice or direction as required
- Support and execute innovative editorial ideas designed to build audience and engagement across NITV/SBS platforms, developing and executing content plans and creative briefs where necessary

**About you**
- A demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander current affairs and issues, Indigenous Cultural Protocol and ability to communicate sensitively and effectively and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
- Developed digital content production skills, including researching, reporting, writing, editing and complete producing in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accuracy and quality
- Excellent eye for detail, and demonstrated ability to work to time-lines, as well as manage long-term projects
- Ability to find new storytelling methods, creating original and engaging content, and re purpose content in a creative way across a variety of mediums and platforms
- Strong skills in social media, with proven ability to generate content that is widely shared and that leads to greater engagement with NITV’s online audience
- Understanding of web-based tools and at experience using content management systems, and sound knowledge of photo editing.
- Demonstrated ability to moderate and edit social media comments, forums, blogs, message boards and live chats

Desirable:

- Knowledge of front-end development methodologies, including HTML and CSS
- Knowledge or experience of broadcast media production
- Skills in video editing
