Nursery Hand

Set your own hours (minimum 16hrs per week)

Responsibilities;
- Assist with propagation, planting, watering, pruning, and general plant maintenance
- Loading and unloading trucks and deliveries
- Plant identification
- Weeding, pruning, and general plant maintenance
- Keeping work areas clean, organised, and safe
- Using basic nursery equipment and tools
- Assisting with stocktake and inventory control
- Assisting with administration work
- Irrigation control and maintenance
- Support stocktaking, plant labelling, and nursery inventory management
- Perform basic administrative duties, including order processing, data entry, and maintaining plant records
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment
- Assist customers and team members with plant selection and general enquiries
- Monitor plant health and report on pest or disease issues
- Participate in the fulfilment and preparation of plant orders for dispatch

Requirements;
- Basic horticultural or plant knowledge (formal qualifications not required but advantageous, can be taught if interested)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Current driver’s license/or reliable transportation to work

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour
