**Role Overview**:
This Youth Access Team Clinician is responsible for facilitating integrated holistic health care, with the aim of improving outcomes for clients of the service, and the wider community. This includes providing the intake and assessment of young people presenting to the service, determining suitability of the program, and co-ordinating care for young people within the consortium. The Youth Access Clinician will also ensure treatment goals are met and adjusting provisions to help the young person meet their identified needs and goals.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (such as Psychology, Nursing, Social Work or Occupational Therapy).
- Registration with a respective professional body (such as AHPRA), or eligibility for registration with AASW. If provisionally registered, have a current primary supervisor.
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Demonstrated ability to delivery intake, triage and and biopsychosocial assessment functions, as well as risk assessment, case formulations and therapeutic interventions in line with best practice.
- Competence in providing evidence-based clinical mental health practice.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaboratively contribute to bio-psycho-social assessments and holistic care to meet the needs of consumers.
- Capability to engage and work collaboratively with clients, integrating their individual goals into treatment plans to promote recovery.
- Contribute to the evaluation and analysis of guidelines, policies and procedures and contribute to the supervision of discipline specific students where required.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Mental Health Act (2007) and the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act (1998).

- Ability Experience working with specific populations of young people (e.g. Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander populations, CALD, LGBTQI).
- Experience working with Drug and Alcohol related issues.
