Research Grants Manager opportunity within N4P sector

**Your new company**
Our client is a not-for-profit Foundation supporting research linked to a main health campus based in Perth. Our client engages with hospitals and other organisations including research institutes, universities, other not-for-profits and funding bodies. Their facilities include state-of-the-art laboratories, collaborative workspaces, clinical suites, and meeting spaces with access to leading-edge technology and research services.

**Your new role**
we are looking for a Grants Research Manager to join their unit on a full time basis. Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end administration of research funding programs in consultation with the Strategic Research Advisor, including ongoing research performance and impact assessment. You will have a significant role in contributing to strategic planning and implementation, including developing and influencing policies, procedures, and processes to ensure the efficient functioning of the Research unit. With a background in clinical or medical research, you will understand the compliance requirements of running a research facility.

**What you'll need to succeed**
The ideal applicant will have a tertiary qualification in clinical/medical research or similar and demonstrated experience in similar roles
- Substantial and extensive research grants management skills and experience, including contract management, policy development, and reporting

Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated expertise in understanding of Australian medical research funding and policy
- Knowledge of compliance, regulations and policies governing research including Australian Standard 2243.3
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and allocate resources
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high-level consultation and negotiation skills
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent inter-personal and verbal skills to readily communicate with others.

**What you'll get in return**
This role can be worked on a full or part time basis. On offer is a salary paying up $120,000 + super + salary packaging. Central city location and flexible work hours.
