LOCATION: BELMONT

CLIENT: 11yo with ASD & PDA - Loves gaming, roblox, minecraft etc - would be a massive help to have similar interests with gaming & technology. Would prefer a male but open to a female as well. Must be great with kids & willing to form that connection with a young boy who takes time to trust people & build rapport.

PDA Training with behavior practitioner provided.

Looking for dedicated & experienced support staff to work

Tuesday & Wednesday 9am to 230pm

Alternating Saturdays 10am to 2pm

Shifts available immediately to the right person & other shifts too once work ethic is established.

**Responsibilities**
- Meeting our clients’ individual needs in the least restrictive way possible;
- Mentoring clients and assisting them to develop skills - guiding people to develop independent living skills
- “do with, not for”;
- Being a positive role model and provide positive support to our clients’ in areas such as emotional behaviour, assistance with personal care and hygiene, transport, education, cooking and domestic duties;
- Assisting in dispensing client medication and adherence to client support plans;
- Manual handling;
- Completing clear, concise and factual handover notes and incident reports;
- Managing complex and challenging client behaviours ;
- Supporting our clients to engage with their local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activities;
- Nurturing dignity, autonomy and positive self-esteem.

**Qualifications**
- Hold or be working towards obtaining a qualification in disability support;
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal;
- Current drivers licence (mandatory requirement);
- Own comprehensively insured car (preferred)
- Current NDIS disability worker screening clearance. (mandatory requirement)
- Current First Aid Certificate (mandatory requirement);
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module (mandatory requirement);
- Working rights in Australia (mandatory requirement)
- Preferably previous experience supporting people with a range of behavioral concerns and needs;
- Basic computer literacy
- Be willing and available for as-required shifts

We pay based on experience, and are looking for commitment as we are a growing company and need reliable staff

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 19 - 40 per week
