GTS (Global Transaction Services) provides transaction banking, client experience, and solution implementation for large corporate and institutional customers as well as manages the bank's payment networks, the regulatory and payments strategy agenda, and the end-to-end payments operations including clearing and settlements.

GTS is on a journey to deliver a real-time treasury platform for the future. Aimed at Westpac’s institutional customer segment, the platform will provide digitisation of the working capital cycle and deliver a real-time corporate treasury through faster payments, real-time liquidity optimisation, cash flow forecasting and data monitoring. All through a seamless digital front-end customer experience.

**How will I help?**
An exciting opportunity to join the Global Transaction Services (GTS) business line which is a critical pillar of Westpac’s Institutional Bank has arrived GTS provides transaction banking, client experience, and solution implementation for large corporate and institutional customers.

The Product Owner role sits within the Real-Time Treasury Platform product team of the Westpac One Core program. The role is responsible for developing the requirements and prioritised roadmap for delivering a world class real-time, multi-currency liquidity management solution that includes:

- Development of single and multi-currency liquidity management account structuring solutions
- Real time treasury management solutions and control automations
- Institutional cash management customer experience

The role fulfils the primary function of product management and product development, requiring strong partnerships with technology, platform vendors, operations, sales, risk, legal and client servicing. The role will be the key link working across business and the Agile delivery team. They will represent the Product team and wider business requirements in the Agile scrums as well as manage delivery prioritisation within the Agile delivery framework.

The Product Owner will be accountable to work with the Risk, Legal and Compliance teams to ensure proper PSL (Product and Services Lifecycle) governance and risk delivery.

An understanding of institutional transactional banking, liquidity management, account structuring and treasury management functions will be highly regarded.

**You will also**:

- Lead the vision for real-time treasury liquidity management, including implementing a product management strategy that delivers against the objectives and principles of the new real-time platform, improving the GTS customer experience, and uplifting market share and profitability.
- Influence the target state design by working with architects, solution designers, developers and third-party vendors to assess solutions and put forward recommendations that meet the business requirements.
- Lead the requirements squad team to document the Agile backlog, and work with technology to refine the solution design and low-level user stories.
- Manage the product backlog, including supporting backlog prioritisation, program increment and sprint planning, delivery, testing and retrospectives.
- Manage dependencies within the project team, as well as with impacted stakeholders and external projects.
- Work with delivery teams to lead the build and implementation of target solutions against a challenging release schedule.
- Support defining and delivering the test requirements and strategy, including non-functional requirements.
- Understand the impacts of changes to applicable legislation, regulatory and payment scheme frameworks, and ensure the target design meets the requirements of Compliance and Risk. Rigorously identify and diligently manage operational risks, incidents, issues and controls.
- Assess the operational requirements of the platform and work with Change, Operations and Servicing to deliver business change.
- Ensure knowledge management is retained by being responsible for the development and maintenance of any technical and/or product documentation.
- Product support to understand and solve customer needs.
- Be the expert within the liquidity and cash management domain in relation to competitors and their reaction in the market, new emerging products & services, leading thinking on customer needs led product management, industry knowledge, emerging market trends locally and globally and general market conditions.
