**The Opportunity**
The Boeing US E-7 RP program, is building two prototype E-7 aircraft for delivery to the USAF.
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is supporting this effort through standing up an instance of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to facilitate access for foreign national technicians.
The **Manufacturing Technology Consultant**is a critical IT&DA role in helping to design the IT solutions enabling the Production Processes and Manufacturing Operations for Boeing Defence Australia and production facility. Initially the role is focused on duplicating the current US only instance into an instance that can allow access to foreign national citizens. We are looking for someone who will embrace our company's values and is excited about innovation.
**Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, identify pain points, and deliver MES solutions that address specific business needs
- Provide expert guidance on MES best practices, system configuration, and process improvement
- Support team members hands-on in implementation of Manufacturing Operations Solutions
- Support Solution Architect with end to end solution for Manufacturing Operations Solutions including the associated Digital Thread
- Ensure compliance of Manufacturing Operations Solutions software with IT&DA requirements
- Manage change and release management activities for SAP CAMS upgrades into production
- Coordinate the provision of external support and training services.
- Provide recommendations for systems configurations, systems security and systems operating procedures
- Provide configuration Control/Integration Support for MES Production and Testing Environments
**Experience/Qualifications**
- Bachelors' or Masters' degree in a computer, mechatronics, engineering or quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, data science, artificial intelligence, computer science, mathematics)
- 4+ years of relevant work experience
- Configuration experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) such as SAP CAMS or APRISO
- Experience with programming languages & database tools; Python, C#, web technologies, SQL, PL/SQL
**Other Desired Skills**:
- Good understanding of general manufacturing processes and operations
- Exposure to manufacturing or industrial environments with ability to relate to stakeholders at all levels
- Exposure to the concept of 'Digital Threads' and Automation in a manufacturing, construction or industrial context
