**About the Role**

An opportunity exists for an Environmental Service Worker to join our Warwick Aged Care Service and provide support primarily in the kitchen, but also with cleaning and laundry. You will be responsible for undertaking food handling and cleaning duties in a variety of areas in the service. This opportunity will consist of a mixture of early and late shifts and some weekend work.

In this varied role, your day-to-day responsibilities could include:

- Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the facilities' residential areas;
- Dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen, equipment & dining areas;
- Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices according to legislation;
- Assisting in the laundry, including sorting, washing, drying, folding and distribution of linen and resident clothing;
- Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the facility’s residential areas.

We are currently looking for someone passionate about food handling and cleaning services, however, depending on the service's requirements, your day may also include laundry and cleaning tasks such as:

- Sorting, washing, drying, folding and distribution of linen and resident clothing.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the facilities residential areas.

**About You**

You are an enthusiastic reliable worker who enjoys being a team player and can also work autonomously. You will be passionate about kitchen and cleaning duties and committed to providing excellent customer service to our residents. Working in a fast-pace environment you will have compassion for the elderly and are passionate about maintaining an environment suitable to their needs.

Ideally you will have:

- Certificate II in Cleaning Operations and/or Certificate II in Kitchen Operations or similar is desirable but not essential;
- Experience working in the Aged Care industry is desirable;
- Experience working in commercial kitchens and operating equipment associated with cleaning and laundry is desirable;
- Physical capacity to carry out the duties required;
- Current National Police Certificate or the ability to acquire.
