**ABOUT THE COMPANY.**

Join your local council as a Civil Design Manager. Local Government offer 35 hours per week, Work From Home days, flexible start and finish times, RDO's and stability in contract roles with potential for extension or transition into a permanent role. Contribute in a professional work environment to assist in continued forward planning within a Local Government Council.

**ABOUT THE POSITION.**

As a Design Engineer you will, ensure project objectives are defined and translated into design outcomes within the project budget, lead the project imitation, brief and design process to meet community needs, collaborate with internal stakeholders, project teams and external stakeholders to project execution plans and briefs with time, cost, scope and quality objectives.

**DUTIES.**
- Plan, monitor, report and communicate on civil projects
- Engage and lead design consultants and contractor to develop documentation and provide technical input
- Develop and implement initiatives within the projects design, sustainability and value
- Ensure quality of documentation for approvals, tenders and construction are competent, coordinated and complete

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.**
- Degree in Engineering (Civil) or relevant Degree
- Previous experience working within Local Government
- Minimum 6 years’ work experience within fields of Design and/or Engineering
- Experience using 12D & CAD, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MX Roads & ARD
