**The Department**

Our Audio and Language Content (ALC) team, also known as SBS Radio, helps people from a diverse range of cultures feel at home in Australia. We inform, educate and entertain Australians through our in-language radio programs and digital content. People listen to us through traditional analogue radio plus digital radio and through our App. They engage with us through our podcasts on our in-language websites, as well as on social media.

**The Role**

On offer is a casual position with hours on a rostered or as needed basis. Additionally the role can be based out of Sydney (Artarmon), or Melbourne (Federation Square).

Reporting to the Executive Producer for Korean, this role will see you doing the following:

- Undertake and/or assist with a range of journalism and content production tasks to provide multiplatform content including:

- Plan, prepare, assess, research, write, produce, sub-edit, translate and/or script multiplatform content for presentation including (but not limited to) international, national, homeland and local news, current affairs and other relevant content as required.
- Generate and develop content ideas for the relevant platform and language audience.
- Establish, develop and maintain appropriate contact with correspondents (stringers and contributors) and other relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to divisional objectives through participation in cross-language content and other initiatives.
- Present audio content on-air (radio) (including carry out live interviews, talk-backs, coverage and outside broadcasts) and use/operate relevant on-air systems and equipment.
- Ensure all relevant content scheduled is broadcast and uploaded as required, including promos, advertising and information campaigns and/or sponsorship announcements in accordance with the SBS Codes of Practice and Editorial Guidelines and other relevant policies.

**About you**
- Strong ability to research, write, produce, translate and present audio content on air and/or online platforms.
- Confident ability to craft engaging abstracts for online and social media (an understanding of SEO and CMS would be an advantage).
- Proficiency in translating from English to Korean and vice versa. As part of our interview process, you will be asked to undertake a language assessment task.
- You are available for shift work to meet our operational and audience needs.
