**About the Position**:
About Smiles East Gardens and Zetland are searching for a Dental Assistant/Receptionist to work across both practices on a part time basis 4 days per week including 2 Saturdays a month.

Come and join our supportive and dedicated team in this dual role, providing assistance on the front desk and in during treatments. Our Dentists and team are patient focused to ensure the highest quality treatments and patient centered care are provided every time.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Patient Care**: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.

**Clinical Support**: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organized treatment area.

**Inventory Management**: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised.

**Patient Education**: Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care.

**Team Collaboration**: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.

**Compliance**: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.

**What do you need to succeed**:

- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is essential
- A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial but not mandatory
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
- Attention to detail
