**The Position**

Reporting to the Head of Informal Education, your mission is to develop and implement informal activities to enhance and enrich the student experience. We are seeking a full-time or part-time (0.8 - 1 FTE) Informal Jewish Educator. This is a one year fixed-term position set to commence in Term 1, 2025.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Organise and lead informal education days for chaggim and commemorative days, camps and seminars throughout the school calendar.
- Develop and coordinate Jewish informal education activities and programs e.g for Shabbatonim, informal curriculum and special Jewish events.
- Facilitate agency for students in building their leadership skills and exploring their Jewish identity through programs and activities.
- Being an active member of a team and sharing responsibilities to be an good example of leadership to students
- Support the coordination of school camps, life-skills seminars.
- Facilitate lunchtime and after school activities.
- Teach informal Jewish Studies classes.
- Act as the 'champion' of the Jewish Life department.

**The Person**
- Prior experience in a Jewish youth movement, Jewish communal organisation, or educational institution.
- A pluralist outlook respecting a range of different streams of Judaism.
- Outstanding ability to communicate and inspire.
- Demonstrated contribution to community and Jewish life.
- A willingness to work in the evenings and on weekends, as required.
- Ability to join end of Year student trip to Israel is highly desirable.
