The WesTrac Institute is currently seeking an Apprentice Development Business Partner to join our team to support the success of over 150 Apprentices and Trade Upgrade employees. Reporting to the Post Trade Training Manager, this role is accountable for ensuring the success of students completing training programs through ‘on the job’ learning experience aligned to course curriculum across a variety of trade disciplines.
In this visible role, you will engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand and meet student needs and deliver a high-quality learning outcomes across accredited and non-accredited programs.
As the Apprentice Development Business Partner for one of the world’s leading Caterpillar Dealers, you will provide support team members across NSW/ACT enrolled in Training Programs and regularly conduct site visits to ensure their ongoing development.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Management of placements within different internal departments aligned to individual training plans
- Map and coordinate the rotation of students through different internal placements to ensure their learning outcomes are met
- Mentor the cohort and providing guidance as required
- Develop recommendations for programs in relation to recommended numbers, disciplines and timings that ensures a balanced program
- Develop and administer an annual Talent Pipeline Programme budget consistent with budget allocations and administration processes
- Development, support and implementation of key projects relating to employee development
- Continuous improvement of development programs
- Support the planning and scheduling of training
- Assist in the development of Apprentice Onboarding Programs
**Skills & Experience**
- Excellent organisational & delivery skills, with the ability to plan, manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve deadlines
- Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, written and verbal with the ability to influence and inspire groups of people with a passion for transferring knowledge and skills
- Developed computer skills and demonstrated experience in developing project plans
- Understand of training of accredited and non accredited training
- A demonstrated commitment to safety and the environment
- Drivers licence with the ability and willingness to travel
- Tertiary qualifications in HR and/or training will be looked upon favourably
