Your role at St John of God Midland Hospital

You will deliver high quality, creative communications activities that will enhance and support St John of God Health Care’s Mission and the brand, public image and services of St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals.

The Position
- Maintain and update CORA, SJGHC’s intranet, by developing and uploading content.
- Coordinate content and production of internal e-newsletters for hospital caregivers.
- Develop and implement internal communication plans, including producing and sourcing content.
- Write, edit and coordinate communications, including newsletters, brochures, posters, leaflets, fact sheets and online articles.
- Assist with developing media campaigns, answering media queries, preparing media releases and all other aspects of media management.
- Assist with internal and external events and related marketing activities.
- Maintain and coordinate activities related to the communication log, events calendar, poster schedule, government relations log and community engagement log.
- All other reasonable duties as directed by the relevant Manager/Supervisor

You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification or experience working in a comparable role, writing skills with keen interest in preparing communication material and taking photographs and experience with digital mediums, such as social media and web sites. You will also have the ability to develop and implement innovative and creative communication strategies, have highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders. Sound project management skills is essential.

- Salary: $94,744.00 - $98,193.00 per annum, plus 11% superannuation
- A full time fixed term contract, working 76 hours per fortnight, for up to 12 months with possibility of extension
