An exciting opportunity is available to join the Domestic Debt & Equity Settlements team. The team is responsible for processing and settlement of all debt and equity trades instructed by our clients and their appointed investment managers. The team focus on the Australian Equity and Fixed Interest markets via the CHESS and Austraclear platforms, as one of the leading market participants.

**Your Team**

Asset Servicing provides custody services to Wholesale Institutional clients based in Australia and overseas. Our clients are primarily Superannuation Funds, Government Bodies, Fund Managers or Investment Houses. Services range from custody and settlement services to full accounting, taxation, registry services and a range of compliance services.

**The role and Day to day will include**:

- Ensure that the team performs allocated tasks efficiently, accurately, and within the timescales and standards established, providing an escalation point for assistance. The work can involve complex problem solving and investigation.
- Continuously assess operational risk within the team and pro-actively recommend opportunities for improving risk policies, procedures and systems.
- Adherence to a best-practice knowledge sharing environment, training and up-skilling colleagues where necessary.
- Conduct analysis in relation to the team’s activities, including volumes, errors, productivity, product or service offering and capacity.
- Lead small and medium sized process, product and service development and deployments, along with analysing market and industry changes for customer and process impacts.

**Your Skills and Experience**
- 3-5 years of operations experience, ideally within Australian or New Zealand debt or equity markets
- Ability to identify and focus on opportunities for process and systematic improvement
- Experience working through problems and dealing with complex analysis to provide a positive outcome
- Thorough understanding of Australian and New Zealand markets, SWIFT standards and post-trade settlement practices and standards is preferred
