**About the role**

Reporting to the Senior Field Area Manager, the role of the Field Manager is to manage the execution of approved asset management plans and operational practices to provide reliable and predictable network performance for the designated portfolio of network assets.

The Field Area Manager role is primarily focused on operational delivery of Telstra Field Optimisation SOW activities ensuring safe, reliable and consistent delivery to plans.

The role is responsible to ensure risk identification / controls, incidents and tenant/client/customer issues are managers as per the agreed processes.

**Position Responsibilities**
- Lead & manage field team members to deliver the works program(s) - supporting the workforce, the Network Operations Centre (NOC) and the Service Delivery Centre in managing reactive & corrective maintenance activities
- Provide oversight and supervision (where required) to subcontractor works at allocated sites
- Maintain a good working and collaborative relationship with the key client regional stakeholders
- Ensure that all contractors and staff comply with the Work Instructions (WIs), Method of Procedures (MOPs) or plans provided by the TFO SOW’s Project Managers to eliminate the likelihood of any Service Disruptions
- Deliver in accordance with the requirements of the TFO as defined by each SOW
- Implement change management initiatives where required

**About you**
- Electrical and/or trades qualification (or significant field-based experience in telecommunication power)
- Project Management qualification (Fundamentals or Cert IV) desirable
- 2+ years’ experience working within an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) environment
- 2+ years’ experience working within a Telstra in a ticket-of-work environment preferred
- Track record of constructive & effective client relationship management with client operational representatives
