**Who are we**
We’re the Health Insurance Fund of Australia, but our friends call us HIF. We are a not-for-profit, here for you health fund. HIF is a multi-award winning health insurer with a passion for helping our Members live healthy lives. Though we have a huge national brand, we are a tight-knit team of 125 Member focused people based in our Perth office. Being a smaller member health fund helps us maintain an inclusive culture and ensures we excel at being there as a community and for the community.
**What is the role**
We have an amazing opportunity for an engaging and member focused individual to join our Member for Life team and be at the forefront of our face-to-face Member Experience on a Part Time basis (27.5 hours a week). The Community Member Consultant attracts new Members and increases loyalty of HIF’s existing Members through both proactive and reactive Community engagement via the Head Office Branch and rotational kiosks across various shopping centres / sites.
In collaboration with internal Marketing and Member Experience Teams, this role will oversee external HIF Member engagement through the activation of the kiosks and other growth opportunities for HIF’s brand and Membership. This role will also be required to support with wider team overflow support including acquisition and retention activity through various forms of phone, digital and face to face.
This position will be on a part-time and would be suitable for individuals looking to work hours in accordance with school hours.
- High level communication skills both written and verbal
- An ability to negotiate and influence positive member outcomes
- Significant face-to-face customer service experience
- Experience building customer loyalty and retention
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills particularly with relation to exploring and understanding customer needs
