About Us

About the Role
You will be responsible for providing chair-side assistance to the Dentist/Dental Specialist/Hygienist in the delivery of dental services to patients. You will also assist with administrative tasks such as entering/updating patient records as well as other duties as required by the Dentist including promotion of oral health to patients and maintaining optimal hygiene of the surgery. This is a bench role which means you may not be provided a full roster and instead, you'll be paid to be at home (on the 'bench') until you are scheduled to attend a shift during the week to make up the hours and of course provide much needed support for unplanned and planned leave or surges due to deployments or ADF Assist programs. If you're not scheduled for full time shifts in a week, you still get paid full time - even if you only work part time hours.

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour. Certificate III in Dental Assisting or nationally recognised equivalent qualification. Minimum of 2 years (full time equivalent) experience within the last 5 years. Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities. Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality care to patients within a dental surgery.

About Richmond Health Centre
Richmond Health Centre is located at RAAF Base Richmond, the oldest Air Force base in NSW, 50 km north-west of Sydney. The Health Centre offers primary health care, along with physiotherapy and dental services. Richmond Health Centre’s standard operating hours are 0730-1630 Mon-Thurs, and 0730-1400 Friday.

You are passionate about providing dental support services and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support delivery of the highest standard of care to patients.
