**About the opportunity**

This role is responsible for the daily delivery of the Emergency Relief service. The Emergency Relief service assists people in crisis who are experiencing financial and food insecurity to obtain short term support in the form of food vouchers, food parcels, clothing, goods and/or financial assistance.

The role also facilitates access to other Uniting services and information, including providing referrals and advocacy to other local community services.

**About you**

You will also have:

- More than 3 years’ work experience or deep knowledge of the sector
- Local knowledge of the communities in which we operate
- Highly developed communication & interpersonal skills
- Volunteer supervisory skills
- Competently manage inappropriate behavior and conflict resolution
- Demonstrated ability to operate complex systems, databases and maintain effective record keeping
- Resilience and an understanding of self-care
