Dog Daycare Attendant

**Andy's Doggy Day Care are hiring.**

We are a leading dog day care in Melbourne, servicing Melbourne's inner suburbs. We have a large 500sq indoor space in Brunswick East right next to EBV. We will soon offer a home pick-up and drop-off service for all owners in the inner Melbourne area.

**The Role**
We are open weekdays (Monday-Friday), looking for a casual staff member to do 5 days a week rotating morning and afternoon. You will be responsible for supervising large groups of dogs and keeping them all safe, engaged and entertained throughout the day, including cleaning up any mess and keeping the site clean and safe. The role does have the advantage of hanging out with and cuddling beautiful canines all day, however we also work hard to ensure their days with us are enriched through activities and basic training & agility exercises. Some off-site walks are required so you will need to be fairly fit and strong - you will also care for and play with dogs all day in our large secure, fenced centre with an inside agility area.

**A little about you**
For this role you must of course love dogs but also demonstrate professional experience handling them and be confident with dogs of all breeds and sizes. Please note, this role is not just about cuddling puppies (although it is an upside of the role) - it requires a lot of hard work, relatively long shifts including cleaning and dog handling responsibilities each day, and constant vigilance is required as you will be working to manage groups of dogs of all sizes. **Previous work with dogs in a professional capacity is highly preffered but not required.**

You need to be completely reliable, organised, mature, physically fit, hard-working, with good people skills, and ready to adapt to new situations as they arise.

**Requirements**:

- **Must be able to work 7am-2:30pm and 11am-6:30pm Mon - Fri (weekly set hours are to be discussed and can be slightly flexible)**:

- Fluent English-speaking
- Have full work rights to work in Australia ongoing full time and permanently.
- _Ideally_ significant experience working with dogs in a professional context or extensive qualifications related to animal companionship or care with logged hours of working with dogs is a bonus but if you can demonstrate to our staff that you have the gift then consider that a pass.

Please also note a criminal record check will be required, but that doesnt mean we wont give you a job.
