Disability Support Worker

Our lovely Client enjoys the simple things in life. She loves being out in nature admiring the flowers and different wildlife, listening to music, and watching the world go by on a leisurely train ride. She enjoys calm and quiet environments where she can observe and reflect.

The ideal Support Worker for our Client is someone who has a gentle and calm demeanour and is especially tuned into nonverbal communication including body language and facial expressions.

The role will involve support with community access only.

We are looking for a Disability Support Worker who has availability for shifts on **Mondays,** **Wednesdays, and/or Fridays from 10am to 12pm.**

**Our base hourly rate for weekdays between the hours of 6am to 8pm is $33.21/hr plus penalty rates for qualifying shifts. Please note pay rates are set and non-negotiable.**

You will have support in your role via a comprehensive care plan and support from our awesome Support Specialist team.

- **Your key responsibilities & accountabilities**:_
- To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered
- Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Clients needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist
- Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Clients needs
- Provide support to our Clients as required
- Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner
- Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required
- Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients
- To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals
- **To be successful you must**:_

- Have a genuine desire to positively change people's lives
- Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia
- Hold or be willing to obtain NDIS worker screening or yellow card
- Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card
- Hold Certificate III in disability or related fields (preferred)

**Salary**: $30.00 - $39.99 per hour
