**About You**

We are looking for Support workers who are passionate about making a difference and supporting our clients to live the life they choose.

There are multiple positions available to join our team in the Western Suburbs** - Forest Lake, Yeronga and Redbank.**

Multiple shifts are available for reliable team members who are flexible and would like work that fits their studies and family commitments. You will be able to provide quality care to an individual or a number of individuals that you warmly assisted and valued.

We are open to people with a caring nature who are new to the industry either as a career change or consider support work as a rewarding role.

**Your main duties and responsibilities will include**:

- _Activities of daily living_- personal hygiene, dressing, eating/feeding, toileting or assistance with continence aids and transferring/mobility assistance which may include manual handling
- _Domestic assistance_ - cleaning, cooking, laundry, gardening
- _Community access_ - driving to medical appointments, social activities, shopping, leisure drive/outings
- _Hobbies/interests_ - supporting/introducing activities like arts and crafts, sports, collections, learning new skills/technology, reading/tutoring, love for animals, good conversations, companionship

**QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/LICENCE**
- Relevant qualifications in healthcare (Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, Aged Care, Nursing) highly regarded, or
- Relevant experience caring for people with a Disability, Mental Health condition, or Complex / Multiple care needs preferred
- Current Blue Card and Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Screening Card or willingness to obtain
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- Updated COVID-19 Vaccination
- Current Driver's licence with a registered/reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally, non-verbally and written form
- Basic computer skills

**Desirable**:

- Experience in the following skills/conditions is an advantage:_
- Good understanding of Positive Behaviour Support Plans and Restrictive Practice
- Medication assistance
- Manual handling - hoisting/slide sheets
- PEG feeding
- Seizure management
- In-dwelling catheter care
- Stoma care
- Palliative care
- Experience caring for the following is a plus:_
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Cerebral Palsy
- Acquired Brain Injury
- Spinal Injury

Some of the above licenses and certificates can be obtained in the onboarding process.
