L2 IT Support Technician

- Monday to Friday 7:00am to 6:00pm
- 1st and 2nd level technical support
Our client in Milton, Brisbane is currently seeking an L2 IT Support Technician. As a L2 IT support technicians you will responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that are beyond the scope of an L1 technician, such as software and hardware issues, network and server problems, and more complex user issues. You will be also responsible to provide support and guidance to L1 technicians and work closely with other members of the IT team to identify and resolve technical problems.
**Key accountabilities include**:
- Functioning as a Level 2 IT Technical Support Officer, supporting staff and sites with any IT issues
- Monitoring, operating, managing IT issues/requests using a ticking system
- Troubleshooting & restoring service to user devices and IT infrastructure equipment (e.g. audio, communication and video conferencing)
- Review and update documentation within the technical documentation repository
- Asset/spares management and coordination
- Liase and submit request to third parties to arrange and coordinate field engineer activities
- Review and consolidate the completed installation documentation (UAT/photos) submitted from field engineers
- Provide reporting as required
**Required Skills and Experience**:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an IT L2 Deskside support role
- University degree or equivalent in the field of computer science, information technology, electronics/communications or computer engineering
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Medium level of Networking skills and background knowledge
- Medium level of Windows Server / AD Administration skills
- Medium level of IT Infrastructure General knowledge
- High level of Operating Systems Support experience
- High level of Application installation and troubleshooting experience
- High level of Mobile device support experience
- High level of PC Hardware support experience including Laptops, Desktop, Monitors, Video and Audio conferencing equipment, Printers and other on-premise equipment
- High level of customer service skills both remote and face to face
- Medium level of Co-ordination skills
