Ux/web Designer

**Job Summary**:
We are looking for an experienced UX / Web Designer to join our growing product team and become the user-centred mastermind behind our “Wedding & Portrait” product, Studio Ninja. As a UX / Web Designer, you’ll partner closely with product management and engineering throughout the product and development lifecycle.

You will plan, design, develop and prepare user-centred designs for both website and mobile app with particular emphasis on the user interface, ease of navigation, styling and location of information using text, images, icons, colours, layout and data sources to deliver top-notch experiences tailored to our primary audience — wedding and portrait photographers.

**Task and Responsibilities**:

- Consult with customers and stakeholders to identify design objectives and constraints.
- Interview users to gain an understanding of their needs and behaviours, and document requirements.
- Conduct user research and collaborate with product managers and business analysts to analyse functional requirements and identify opportunities for features that would delight existing customers or generate revenue from new customers.
- Generate design concepts to create new features or improve existing product features.
- Prepare high-fidelity wireframes, layouts, illustrations and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts.
- Follow a user-centric design approach and rapidly test and iterate designs.
- Incorporate user research, personas, and user validation testing into design decisions.
- Present design solutions and negotiate with customers, management, sales & marketing, product & engineering teams in order to gain buy-in.
- Detail and document the selected designs so that they are ready to be produced by engineers.
- Provide quality control reviews of all work throughout the development lifecycle.
- Create product marketing collateral for releases and customer communications.
- Help create and implement design standards, interaction frameworks, and pattern libraries across multiple brands.
- Provide input into our product roadmap and the development of our design system, process, and style guide.
- Ensure best practice strategies are injected into your wireframing and designs.
- Analyse user experience metrics and reports to continuously improve the UX.
- Communicate effectively and facilitate positive design outcomes with customers and colleagues.
- Advocate for our customers and educate colleagues on the importance of the user-centric design process.

**Required Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Web Design, UX Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, or any design or IT related field
- 4+ years as a Web Designer, UX Designer, UI Designer, Interaction Designer, or related field
- An online portfolio that demonstrates proven success with digital work
- Understanding of design principles including layout, typography, and colour theory
- Experience designing for mobile
- 2+ year experience with Figma or other prototyping tools

Pay: $74,000.00 - $94,000.00 per year
