**Wardsperson - NU Nursing**

**NU Nursing is a Australian owned and run nursing agency, working with hospitals and aged care facilities to provide nursing staff at short notice.**

We are seeking a Wardsperson/Orderly to join our team on a casual basis, to work with our existing hospitals with patient assistance.

**As part of this team, you will be required to be involved in patient transfers, patient lifting using aides, as well as the below**:

- Demonstrated knowledge of manual handling techniques, including patient transfers.
- Assist nursing staff with patient care, including transferring and positioning patients safely.
- Transport patients to various departments within the healthcare facility.
- Ensure the cleanliness of equipment to meet infection control requirements
- Deliver medical supplies, equipment, and specimens to appropriate locations.
- Provide support during emergency situations by following established protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of patient movements and activities.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, patients, and their families.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience as a Wardsperson/Orderly or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks.
- A compassionate and caring attitude towards patients and their families.
- Current Working with Children Check and Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Pay: $36.00 - $44.00 per hour
