**The Opportunity**

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Orrcon Steel business in our **Salisbury** team as a **Finished Goods Transfer Operator**. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally_ _recognised brands.

Working in our finished goods warehouse, our Finished Goods Transfer Operators are responsible for ensuring that our products are safely loaded and unloaded for storage and transportation to our customers using our onsite materials handling equipment. You’ll be driving heavy vehicles and other specialised equipment in and out of the warehouse as part of this role and be responsible for other aspects of our supply chain logistics including administration, coordination and planning. No previous experience in warehousing or operations is necessary as you will receive ongoing training and support to learn all aspects of the role allowing for future career development opportunities.

We have vacancies currently for:

- ** Day shift - 9:00am to 6:00pm**:

- ** Night shift - 6:00pm to 3:00am**

**What Will You Do?**

Whilst ensuring the safety of yourself and your co-workers, you will:

- prepare, configure and calculating the correct product loads to maximise vehicle capacity
- operate and move heavy vehicles and trailing equipment up to 30 tonne payloads
- despatch customer orders as per the delivery schedule
- load and unload trucks using a gantry crane and mobile equipment
- observe correct loading processes to ensure the quality of product is maintained during transport
