**The Opportunity**:
As we look to continue the investment into our Placement Team, a core business unit within Aon, we are currently seeking a Head of Placement, Australia to join our team.

The Head of Placement, Australia will be responsible for the delivery of Aon’s client and carrier engagement strategies for all lines of business and across all client segments.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Risk Australia you will have an important role on the Commercial Risk Executive Leadership Team as leading a high performing team. You will support the placement team across key areas including the Segment and Product specific teams as well as Industry leaders housed within Commercial Risk.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Drive innovation and improved connectivity with all areas of Commercial Risk to drive improved client experience and outcomes.
- Lead our thought leadership with responsibility for market updates and internal product training alongside our dedicated technical team. You will also help carrier partners navigate Aon via tools such as the Aon Carrier Days.
- Refine, build, and measure Aon’s Go to Market Strategies (GTMS) for each of our client segments.
- With the support of the segment specific placement leaders, you will co-ordinate the broader placement team in an overarching risk transfer strategy as well as playing an active part in the strategy and negotiation of client risks within the Global Corporate segment.
- Implement and providing input into Aon’s market engagement strategies.
- Provide input and advice around improving Aon policy structures and wordings.
- Create and cultivate a culture of sharing insights with clients, carriers and colleagues from Aon’s data & analytics platforms to help drive better and more informed decision making.
- Strategic Account Manager on nominated accounts.

**About you**:

- Robust insurer network at all levels and ability to communicate and negotiate well with insurers.
- Have the resilience to deal with conflict and achieve resolution when resistance is present.
- Exposure to Captive structures and complex placements as well as good knowledge of the international hubs of London and Singapore.
- The individual will need to be dedicated in constantly updating and expanding Aon’s IQ and being capable of “storytelling” and connecting Aon colleagues and clients.
- They will need to collaborate closely with key colleagues across the Client Delivery Teams and other Solutions lines to support a one-firm approach.
- Needs to be able to influence, lead and educate colleagues in circumstances where obstacles and objections may arise in the ordinary course of implementing strategies.
- Engage global colleagues will be important to bring standard process to Australia and as such an ability to build a global network is crucial.
