We’re looking for an excellent Data Analyst with insurance experience who has exceptional data analysis skills combined with interpersonal skills to be able to engage and communicate with a variety of stakeholder groups across the Insurance domain at Suncorp.

Your role will offer variety such as, projects and BAU activity as well as the opportunity to work with highly skilled Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Business Stakeholders and Technical Development Squads.

**What you’ll do**:

- Capture the business context and requirements.
- Support defining of features/stories and benefits during Discovery phase and Delivery.
- Facilitate elaborations sessions; attend and facilitate other workshops as necessary.
- Work collaboratively maintaining ongoing stakeholder dialogue and relationships; always looking for ways to deliver business value as part of the solution.
- Act as interface between business and technical teams and translate functional requirements into technical high-level user stories.
- Groom the backlog in advance of team needing the work, including being ready for sprint planning.
- Work well with a technical developer and testing team to drive clear articulation of the business requirements.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Demonstrable experience in a Data Analyst role.
- Exposure to large enterprise Insurance/ or financial service environments would be highly desirable.
- Understanding of data concepts and processes (DB2, Redshift, DMS, CDC, BIDA, various layers).
- Able to query DB2 and Redshift to determine if tables and data is available or requires acquisition.
- Experience writing SQL queries for purpose of data analysis, testing and investigation of issues.
- Able to interrogate data to identify anomalies or gaps and support data acquisition needs.
- Experience in working in an agile way, familiar with the ceremonies, culture, concepts and Agile development practices.
- Ability to Work with mínimal oversight, self-starter to be able to:

- Elicit and understand data requirements from the stakeholder.
- Break down the work with the team and create stories with the requirements stated.
- Engage stakeholders well and keep informed, ability to set realistic expectations.
- Understand a solution design and how it applies to work required.
