**Full-time Opportunity**

Whitehill Church of Christ is seeking a full-time Lead Pastor to lead the church to fulfill its mission and vision. Whitehill is an established, contemporary, multi-generational, regional church with a passion for changing lives, families, communities, and the world with Jesus. The Church is located in Ipswich, Queensland, and holds two Sunday Worship services with a morning and evening congregation with a combined attendance of around 350.

**The key responsibilities of the role are to**:

- Develop vision and direction to the church while promoting the desired church culture;
- Provide strategic leadership through the development and implementation of strategic plans;
- Preaching and teaching;
- Provide leadership to the staff and ministry leaders;
- Equip and mobilise the church for mission and ministry;
- Build fruitful relationships with local community and Christian community;
- General pastoral duties;
- Implement policy governance with the Council of Elders.

**The successful applicant will**:

- Be reliable, trustworthy and teachable persons who meet the character qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9;
- Be committed to the vision and direction of Whitehill Church of Christ;
- Be qualified to at least an undergraduate level Ministry and/or Theological qualifications (or equivalent);
- Have significant leadership and community engagement experience;
- Have proven, previous experience in building and leading teams;
- Be able to manage and care for people effectively;
- Be endorsed (or able to be endorsed) as a ministering person with Churches of Christ Queensland;
- Be able to obtain a Child Protection Suitability Card from Commission for Children & Young People.

Remuneration and other conditions are generally according to Churches of Christ Qld guidelines.
