Unit Receptionist - Be the Heart of Our Ward

About the role
1 Central at Cabrini Malvern is a 24-bed Short Stay Medical & Surgical Overflow ward. Initially opened as a temporary ward, we are now making it a permanent part of our hospital, and we are seeking an experienced Unit Receptionist to support the team on a full-time basis.
As a Unit Receptionist, you will be essential in delivering exceptional service to patients, visitors, and staff in a busy, dynamic ward environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming & Directing Patients and Visitors - Create a warm and inviting atmosphere for everyone entering the ward.- Managing Communications - Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and ensure accurate message recording and delivery.- Patient Assistance - Support patient requests and escalate to the appropriate team member when needed.- Data Entry & Administration - Maintain accurate patient records in the Patient Administration System.- Maintaining Confidentiality - Ensure all interactions align with privacy regulations and hospital policies.
About you
We’re looking for a dedicated and personable individual who brings:
- Previous experience in a reception or administrative role, ideally in healthcare.- Exceptional customer service skills and a warm, welcoming attitude.- Strong communication skills, including excellent telephone etiquette.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with hospital administration systems (preferred).- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.- Excellent time management and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.- A team-focused approach, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
