**What you’ll be doing in this role**

As a Uniting Home Care Worker, you will help us ensure continuity of care for our clients as you provide support and companionship for older people living in **Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.** You will empower independence and improve the quality of life for our clients in their own homes.

**With a focus on supporting our clients to stay independent for as long as possible, duties and responsibilities may include**:

- **Help at home**: housekeeping, grocery shopping or meal preparation
- **Personal Care**: personal hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, helping at mealtime or with medication administration
- **Transport for wellbeing**: appointments or shopping trips or accompanying clients on social support activities

**Qualifications and experience**:

- You’ll have previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in aged care.
- You’ll be empathetic and resourceful and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
- You’ll also be flexible and prepared to help meet the changing needs and schedules of our home care clients.
- You’ll need a provisional or full Australian driving licence and ongoing access to a reliable vehicle that’s comprehensively insured (not just CTP).
- A Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification.
