Signalling Design Manager

**About the role**
- Develop and maintain processes and approaches for systems integration of the railway systems to be utilised within design, procurement, construction and testing & commissioning and completions.
- Coordinate interface design to ensure that all interface requirements are incorporated.
- Develop and effectively manage the change management process
- Lead, coach and mentor a culture in your team that fosters innovation and both business and personal improvement
- The role of Design Manager is to execute the responsibilities of Design Manager in accordance with the Quality Management System and particularly the following key responsibilities and accountabilities outlined below.
- Monitor the adequacy, competency and effectiveness of design resources allocated to the project
- Ensure that all necessary reviews, verifications and validations are planned and conducted, and the outcomes of these are incorporated into the design,
- Ensure that the design conforms to all safety, environmental, construction, commissioning, and operating requirements,

**About You**
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical engineering or a relevant discipline
- Proven experience in delivery and management of multi-discipline projects, including rail signalling & Train control and experience in systems engineering and integration of railway systems
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks and simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands
- Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Project Management and Design Management practices
- Electrical Design Fundamentals (Detail Level)
- Signalling Design Principals and Practices (Detail Level)
