The Opportunity

Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking an experienced
Signalling Design Manager
to join our team in
Sydney
. The role will take ownership of leading signalling design delivery for major infrastructure projects, working closely with design engineers, assurance specialists, and construction partners.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of signalling solutions and lead multi-disciplinary design teams in collaboration with key clients across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead signalling design projects, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, client requirements, and safety principles.
  • Manage design teams, provide technical direction, and mentor engineers across multiple levels.
  • Liaise with clients, rail operators, and regulators to secure design approvals.
  • Coordinate integration of signalling design with civil, track, and systems disciplines.
  • Oversee delivery of design packages from concept through to issued-for-construction stage.
  • Ensure quality assurance and design governance processes are followed throughout.

About You

  • Significant experience leading signalling design projects across multiple jurisdictions (e.g. QR, Sydney Trains, ARTC, MTM, V/Line).
  • In-depth knowledge of signalling design standards, systems, and principles.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities within design teams.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and design approvals.
  • Chartered Engineer (RPEQ, RPEV, CPEng) status or working towards chartership will be highly regarded.
