Position: Team Leader

Location: Dromana, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria

Employment Type: Full-Time (Fixed 2-Year Contract with potential to move to permanent)

Hours: Weekdays plus rotating weekends, 38 hours per week + reasonable additional hours as required

**Salary**: $53,941 - $56,640 + penalty rates + superannuation (as per Cleaning Service Employee Level 2-3, correct as of March 2025)

Reports to: Director

Supervises: Cleaning Team Members

Probationary Period: 3 months

About the Role

As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in supervising and training cleaning team members while ensuring properties are maintained to the highest standards. You will also be responsible for stock management, vehicle maintenance, stakeholder communication, and property audits and includes a limited amount of cleaning hours.

This role is ideal for someone with leadership experience in the cleaning industry who can take ownership of daily operations while ensuring strong client and employee satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and develop cleaning team members
- Ensure properties are cleaned and styled according to property descriptions
- Maintain safety standards during transit and at properties
- Monitor and replenish consumables at properties
- Check and prepare linen, consumables, and cleaning kits
- Maintain company vehicles (cleaning, fuelling, logbooks)
- Communicate effectively with team members via WhatsApp
- Support business management functions, including liaising with property owners, managers, and suppliers
- Assist with property inspections, bond checks, and cleaning audits
- Contribute to recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new staff
- Provide estimates and quotations to clients
- Respond to emergency callouts when required

Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 1 year of professional cleaning experience (employed or business owner)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Proficiency in using communication tools (e.g., WhatsApp)
- A proactive and positive attitude
