**The Role**
The EL 1 Contract Manager provides key leadership, control and coordination to the establishment of a more strategic commercial approach that allows Maritime Sustainment Division (MSD) to work collaboratively with its customers and industry partners to shape the industrial construct for the division’s needs, now and into the future. This is a key operating support objective in supporting MSD’s role as the steward and curator of an enduring sovereign sustainment capability.

This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. **About our Team**
Maritime Support Branch (MARSPT) delivers Cross Class, Integrated, Through Life Maritime support in order to enable the delivery of Maritime Sustainment, and contribute to Navy’s mission to prepare Naval Power in order to enable the joint force in peace and war.

Ideally having experience within the maritime sustainment environment, they will be comfortable synthesising complex areas of business operations with commercial contracting practices designed to provide strong outcomes for maritime sustainment.
