Your Role:
As the 2IC Service Manager, you will:
- Support and mentor a team of educators, fostering a culture of professional reflection and continuous improvement.- Assist in managing daily operations, from staffing to parent communications.- Ensure high-quality care and compliance with industry standards to support children's holistic development and lifelong learning.- Build strong relationships with families to support each child's growth.- Collaborate with the Service Manager to create quality relationships with children, parents, and staff, aiming for the highest standards of success.

What You Bring:
- Qualifications: Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification as recognized by ACECQA.- Certifications: Current and valid Working With Children Check and First Aid Certificate, including training in asthma and anaphylaxis.- Skills: Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS) to assist in ensuring quality practices and outcomes.- Attributes: Ability to support, mentor, and lead a team of educators in the absence of the Service Manager.- Capability to assist in managing daily operations, from staffing to parent communications.- Strong verbal and written skills for effective interactions with families, staff, and regulatory bodies.- Ability to effectively address and resolve issues that may arise within the service.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:
- Previous experience in a Service 2IC, Assistant Director, Assistant Service Manager, or similar role within an early childhood setting.- Demonstrated skills in working collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and support staff.- Proficiency in using relevant management software and tools for communication, documentation, and reporting.- A commitment to engage in ongoing training and development.- Skills to address and mediate challenges or disputes that might arise among staff or with families.
