Job Description: Casual Support Worker (Disability Sector)

Location: Shellharbour

Position Type: Casual (with potential for permanent shifts)

Hours: 6 PM - 10 PM (followed by a sleepover from 10 PM - 8 AM) and day cover assistance as required

Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated **female Support Worker** to provide 24/7 assistance to our clients in Shellharbour. This role involves evening and overnight support, with the opportunity for additional day cover shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver personal care and support to clients with disabilities.
- Assist with daily living activities and promote independence.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment during overnight shifts.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the support team.
- Follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in the disability sector is essential.
- Certificate in Disability Support (or equivalent) preferred.
- Sara Steady training is highly desirable.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

**Skills**:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Empathy and patience in supporting individuals with diverse needs.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 38 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Evening shift
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Public holidays
- Weekend availability

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates
- Performance bonus

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
