**The Role**
Seeking a motivated and experienced Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine,. Servicing a population of approximately 116,000, the Staff Specialist provides specialist emergency medical care to patients spanning two Emergency Departments. The Emergency Departments have approximately 30,000pa with a broad case mix.

The ED is accredited by the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine for
- 12 months advanced training in Emergency Medicine which is increasing to 24 months.
- The second location Emergency Department is accredited for emergency medicine certificate and diploma courses.

Additional benefits may include

- Professional Development Allowance of up to $16,000 per annum
- Fully maintained vehicle or allowance in lieu up to $27,535 per annum

**The Location**
Located on a pristine coast line this city has a population of 20,000 residents and well developed infrastructure with a vibrant shopping district that spills onto the beach for seafood and coffee. The local countryside is renowned for its produce. You can buy award winning cheese at the factory outlet and taste whisky at the cellar door. There are restaurants to linger in and well stocked delis to tempt you with gourmet treats.

**The Hospital**
Servicing a population of approximately 116,000, the Department of Health has two major sites located approximately 50km apart. As part of the state wide health service you will be located in this modern 160 bed facility providing high quality health care to the local region. The hospital also offers services in medical, surgical and allied health specialties through inpatient and outpatient departments. The hospital has a strong relationship with the Rural Clinical School, and the secondary care facilities are both associated teaching hospitals with contemporary teaching environments.

**Essential Requirements**
- Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty
