**Menu Monitor** - Multiple casual opportunities - Perfect role for a hospitality professional looking for a career change - We offer a genuine commitment to work-life balance, learning and development **About the Role** As a Menu Monitor, you will be primarily supporting our hospital dieticians in the provision and collection of menus, managing the dietary requirements of our patients and ensuring they receive the appropriate meal free of allergens. You will also be assisting our catering team with the distribution and collection of all food trays and beverages, along with maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen environment, dishes and utensils. In this role you will report to the Catering Manager and 2IC and work closely with a positive and respected team. **About You** To succeed in this role, you will have a high attention to detail and work effectively in a team or independently as required, within a fast-paced environment. Your ability to prioritise tasks effectively will assist you with your excellent time management skills. You will also bring; - Communicate effectively with Dietitians, Nursing Staff, Speech Pathologists, Chefs, Catering Assistants, Managers and Team Leaders - Order meals for patients with special dietary requirements - Order patient meals to align with Meal Plans and documented patient information, in consideration of age, allergies, preferences/dislikes, special dietary requirements and prescribed meal plans - Review recipe and ingredient lists to ensure suitability of menu items, in consideration of age, allergies, preferences/dislikes, special dietary requirements and prescribed meal plans - Perform cross-check of patient management software to ensure accuracy of documented food allergies - Communicate with patients and families to determine food preferences and dislikes as required **The Person**: - Display a positive attitude to daily challenges, willingness and flexibility to meet the needs of changing priorities and a resilient nature - Previous experience within a Hospital food services role preferred - Must be process driven with a strong attention to detail - A sound knowledge in food and/or nutrition preferred - Personable, a team player who has exceptional communication skills - Ability to stay calm under pressure - Availability to perform shift work - Understanding of the importance in compliance with hospital policies related to the rights of staff privacy and patient confidentiality **Why Warringal Private Hospital?** Warringal Private Hospital, a 215 bed facility incorporating 11 state of the art operating theatres, has an established national and international reputation as a leading healthcare provider, achieving recognition in many specialties throughout the years, and leading medical tourism from all over the world.
