Disability Services Team Leader

**Position Description**

**Responsibilities**:

- Leading a team of Support Workers and ensuring they understand, embrace, and work toward achieving ACS missions and values.
- Ensuring Support Workers are reporting accurate case notes, investigating, and providing feedback when necessary.
- Engaging regularly with participants, their families, and all other stakeholders involved in the delivery of supports for the participant, to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and service delivery.
- Managing risks including compliance with relevant policies, NDIS legislative requirements, Work Health and Safety, and financial risks.
- Managing the participants’ budget during their annual NDIS plan to ensure continuity of supports over the year and maintaining accurate participant records.
- The management and coordination of all Clients and their Service Agreements including ensuring that the care plans within those agreements are executed correctly
- Maintaining the NDIS portal holistically (this will include but will not be limited to documentation management, compliance, invoice creation, data entry, and statistical reporting and data analysis)
- Providing information to internal stakeholders on NDIS funding matters.
- Prepare and develop tools, information packages and supporting documentation for client meetings and training sessions as required.
- Recognising any discrepancies or issues associated with the NDIS process and implementing the necessary safeguards to ensure that those eligible are in no way impacted
- Marketing the NDIS brand to generate leads
- Recruiting, onboarding, supporting, training and supervising a team of support workers
- Supporting shifts

**Requirements**:

- Experience working with the NDIS scheme
- Previous experience working with a human services environment such as Aged Care, Disability Care, Mental Health, Housing or a complimentary sector.
- High-level knowledge and understanding of the policy, procedures and standards pertaining to the provision of disability services.
- Experience in working to uphold the best interests of those living with disability and mandatory reporting
- Experience in the use of computer-based Client Information Management Systems and IT skills to navigate client management systems
- A passion for the improvement of the Healthcare Industry and those that require the support of NDIS services.
- The ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
- Interpersonal skills to be engaging, relatable and personable but also know when you need to push back in best interests of those that you are working with.
- Excellent time management and above average literacy and numeracy aptitude
- Empathy for those around you and be thoughtful and understanding in your approach.
- Meticulous in your management of documentation
- Well-developed organisation and priority management skills
- Ensuring high quality outcomes are achieved for the service in line with client care plans and organisational requirements
- Experience in developing and maintaining productive working relationships with key internal stakeholders including a multidisciplinary team
- Tertiary qualifications, in Social Work, Psychology, Disability or a related field.
- Hold a current driver’s licence.
- Hold a current first aid certificate or can obtain this qualification.
- Provide a police clearance certificate and evidence of eligibility to work in Australia.
- Current and verified Working with Children Check and National Police Check

Hours per fortnight: 30-40 (with option to increase)

**Experience**:

- NDIS: 2 years in a relevant role (preferred)

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
