**Legal Secretary - Barristers’ Chambers**

**The Role**

Alfred Lutwyche Chambers is seeking a capable legal secretary to join our close-knit team. This is a full-time, in-office position that offers both variety and autonomy, while providing the opportunity to support industry-leading senior and junior counsel. Prior legal experience and strong typing skills are essential.

**Key Responsibilities**

As part of a supportive team, you will handle a wide range of secretarial, administrative and reception duties, including:

- Managing phone calls and client enquiries with professionalism
- Diary and schedule management
- Preparing, collating, formatting and proof reading documents
- Transcription and accurate typing

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- At least 3-4 years’ legal secretarial experience
- Typing speed of 65-70 wpm, with high accuracy
- A professional and courteous telephone manner
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word and Outlook, with the ability to quickly learn multiple new systems
- A commitment to confidentiality and discretion
- Initiative, reliability, and the ability to work independently
- A flexible and willing team player, with a positive attitude to take on both junior and senior tasks as required
- Additional leave is provided during the mandatory Christmas shutdown and does not count toward your standard four weeks of annual leave_.
