Our client, an employer of choice, is building a team to deliver high-quality services and is seeking a Category Specialist to join their dynamic and highly skilled team. This role is pivotal in managing contract services with a strong focus on Facilities Management and delivering to commercially competitive standards for safety, cost, quality, scope, and client satisfaction.
As a key player in the procurement team, you will be expected to hit the ground running and thrive in a sometimes challenging environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage the tender process for projects ranging from minor refurbishments to large-scale works, specifically within Facilities Management.
- Collate market and data information to support strategic business objectives.
- Liaise with suppliers, optimising commercial services to benefit the organization.
- Prepare reports, outputs, and both internal and external communications.
- Regularly liaise and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders across your specific portfolio of Facilities Management contracts.
**Skills and Experience**:
- Proven track record in Contracts Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Category Management with a focus on Facilities Management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Degree qualifications in Business, Commerce, or Supply Chain are highly regarded.
- Experience in managing contracts through their life cycle is essential.
- Extensive experience in sourcing and procurement.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Category Management and managing spend, costs, and supplier relationships.
