What you will be doing:
- Oversee and direct the delivery of cleaning services in the hotel with direct responsibility of rooms and all public areas; to be achieved through management and co-ordination of the housekeeping team, and public areas teams.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Housekeeping team to achieve a cohesive and effective work group.
- Managing accounting and purchasing activities within the department in strict accordance to budget guidelines
- To be responsible for the, linen, uniforms and Housekeeping Guest services within the hotel maintaining cost efficiency, stock control and service delivery to guests and Empire Hospitality.
- To be responsible for the handling of lost property in accordance with Hotel Policy.
- Manage the provision of uniforms for all hotel employees in respect of issue, maintaining and cleaning.
- To liaise with the senior management in regard to the success of our contract and to address any issues with haste.
- Assessing, reviewing, and analysing Guest feedback and implementing corrective actions to improve scores.
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and hotel security compliance
**Your experience and skills should include**:
- Have a minimum 3 years’ experience as an Executive Housekeeper in a 5-star luxury Hotel environment.
- Be physically fit and is able to be active for most of your day/shift
- Be well organised, detailed orientated and address tasks with a sense of urgency
- Have a proven record of leading and motivating successful diverse teams
- Being team player that contributes to and assists co-workers without being asked
- The ability to deal with guests’ complaints and staff conflict in a professional, fair and calm manner
- Computer literate: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word/Outlook/Excel. Preferable experience with Opera PMS
- Work towards and plan according to the key financial indicators of the department
- Purchasing and inventory skills is an asset
- Have flexibility to work across a 7day rosters, often assisting and supporting the housekeeping team on peak periods, which may include weekends and public holidays
