**Job Description**:
SGS is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team as an Aviation Advisor. In this role you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice on aviation-related matters, conducting safety audits, managing aviation projects, and serving as a direct link to client representatives.
Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:
- _ Aviation Audits and Safety Assessment:_ Plan and conduct aviation audits and assess operator safety for SGS Aviation clients.
- _ Project Management_: Manage aviation projects for clients, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- _ Technical and Commercial Advice:_ Provide comprehensive technical and commercial aviation advice to clients.
- _ Strategic Collaboration:_ Collaborate with the Regional Manager on the strategic direction of the business and to provide technical support to the Regional Manager as needed.
- _ Audit and Project Planning: _Assist in audit and project planning for the region of operation when required.
- _ Reporting and Recommendations:_ Prepare detailed written audit and project reports with recommendations for the improvement of client aviation activities.
- _ Issue Resolution:_ Follow up and close out issues raised during the course of duties.
- _ Client Relationship Management:_ Maintain professional contacts and effective working relationships with clients.
- _ Continuous Professional Development:_ Stay updated on industry trends and maintain professional qualifications through company training and participation in SGS Aviation seminars.
- _ Administrative Duties:_ Fulfill administrative duties essential for the efficient conduct of the position.
**Qualifications**:
- Airline transport pilots license or flight engineer license or Aircraft maintenance engineer license.
- 15 years of experience in the aviation industry including experience relevant to SGS Aviation’s activities.
- Successful completion of a quality/safety (ISO approved) lead auditor course.
- A solid understanding of CASA and ICAO regulations.
- Experience in auditing aircraft operators (fixed or rotary wing), and inspecting aerodromes and offshore helidecks.
- Advisors will on occasions be travelling offshore so a valid BOSIET training certificate will be required.
- Holding BARS auditor qualifications/accreditation will be highly regarded.
- Availability for frequent travel required.
