**About the Role**

The Finance Process Specialist is responsible for delivering process excellence within the Finance department in line with the long term business strategy utilising process excellence tools and techniques.

Responsibilities will include conducting interviews and workshops, analysis of current processes, recommendations of improvements as well as the training and development of finance staff to ensure a standardised documentation process.

The Finance Process Specialist will facilitate stakeholder engagement and encourage a positive change mindset within the department by providing up to date and clear communication with effected stakeholders throughout the process.

Essential duties and responsibilities will include the following. Others may also be assigned:

- Facilitate stakeholder engagement via workshops, interviews and previously documented materials
- Scope process and analysis appropriately and identify core stakeholders and associated benefits and risks related to each.
- Recommend the effective process strategy to the business problem / new opportunity
- Actively engage with stakeholders to ensure recommended solutions are in line with business needs.
- Ensure process strategies are aligned with the long term and tactical business requirements
- Partner and coach the finance team on process thinking and process documentation tools (e.g. ProMapp)
- Influence key stakeholder to deliver impactful change
- Proactively manage stakeholders, building consensus and commitment to process and business outcome(s).

**About You**

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications and experience required:

- Experience with Financial Services is a MUST with experience with Banking highly desirable
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green and above) highly regarded
- Change management certification/experience highly regarded
- Degree in relevant business discipline highly regarded
- Experience with process documentation tools, with ProMapp highly regarded
- Evidenced experience delivering process improvement projects
- Agile & Scrum experience highly regarded.

- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and manage diverse stakeholder groups.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, coaching and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative, flexible and fast paced environment to deliver business value
- Strong risk and compliance knowledge (Financial Services based preferred)
- Ability to ask the right questions, perform root cause analysis, identify key issues leading to faster & better decision making
